World-number-two
Peter Wright was rushed to the hospital on Thursday morning, his wife Joanne reported on the Scot's Twitter page.
Wright has since returned home, but will be unable to attend events in the upcoming days. 'Snakebite' was scheduled to play demonstrations in Lakeside, Bristol, Ipswich, Portsmouth and Brighton over the next ten days, but has cancelled all of them.
It is still unknown with what condition Wright was brought to the hospital, nor what the possible consequenses are concerning the World Championships.
The UK Open champion will first play on the 21st of December, which means Wright has a little under two weeks to prepare. Should he not make it, Terry Jenkins will be taking his place in the draw.
