Lennon, King & Whitlock secure tentative European Championship qualification

The race to become one of the 32 players to compete at the European Championship is hotting up. It seems likely though for Steve Lennon, Mervyn King & Simon Whitlock that they have secured qualification.
For King & Whitlock this seemed likely anyway due to good constant form on the European Tour. For Lennon though this has only come about due to his run to the final yesterday in Zwolle.
The same can be said for Kim Huybrechts, Stephen Bunting & Kyle Anderson who all had fairly good weekends reaching the latter stages but their qualification isn’t 100% secure yet.
In the final qualification spot at the moment is Wayne Jones but you have to feel that could change around with multiple other players tied on the £6,000 he’s on.

- I dont like individuals or crowds trying to put any player off when they are trying to check out, how anyone can think its okay for the crowd to whistle or shout as someone is throwing for a double is beyond me but it does seem to have become part and parcel of the modern game. I no longer play now, darts is as good as dead at a local level round my way but when i did play many years ago, no matter how intense the rivalry you never shouted out or whistled when an opponent from the other team was throwing for a double.Mysstree17-11-2024

If you want to see crowd passion... watch a match when German and Dutch players face off... that can be just as bad if not worse for crowd noises.
