Taking place this weekend as well as the start of the World Matchplay is the Cheshire Open which is a tournament which has been running since the late 1990’s.

Some of the past winners include the likes of Nathan Aspinall, Darryl Fitton, Stephen Bunting and Stuart Kellett.
The last winner was Aspinall in 2016 and since then he has gone on to bigger and better things in the PDC. It is one of the only opens that is open to both PDC and BDO members as well.
In terms of prize fund for this year’s tournament, the winner will claim £1,000 and the runner up £400.
Overall the prize pot is £2310 and if you hit a nine darter an extra £250 is yours unless someone else hits it and it becomes split.

Winner - £1000.00 plus Pauline Stafford Memorial Shield
Runner Up - £400.00
Semi's - £175.00
Quarters - £80.00
Last 16 - £30.00
TOTAL - £2310.00
BONUS – £250 for a 9 darter (split if more than one)
