Smith edges out Ratajski, McGeeney continues debut European Tour run with deciding leg win over Cullen

The first two ties of the second day of action at the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen have concluded with Michael Smith and Mark McGeeney making it through to the final day.

Smith edged out Krzysztof Ratajski in the first tie of the day in a 6-4 win over the Polish Eagle. 'Bully Boy' hit seven 180's and a 97 average en route in a classy display from the St Helens ace with Ratajski playing his part hitting a 101 average.
McGeeney had it even tougher having to come through a last leg decider against Joe Cullen. It was level throughout but the turning point had to be 'The Gladiator' breaking back to make it 5-5 with an 86 checkout on the bull which sent it all the way.
