Van Barneveld's manager admits retirement decision is not 100% confirmed: ‘It is better to take a couple of days to clear the mind and think about the future’

Raymond van Barneveld announced his intention to retire from darts on Thursday evening after he was smashed 7-1 by Michael van Gerwen in Rotterdam.

Now a statement has been released by his management on Barney’s Twitter saying that it is not 100 percent. Also that they (Van Barneveld and his maanger) will speak in the next few days about this and a decision will then be made due to the emotions of the night in Rotterdam.
Jaco van Bodegom, his manager said the following:
‘Raymond had had a very tough 2 nights and in all his emotions he said he was gonne retire right away.
‘I just spoke with him and we agreed it is better to take a couple of days to clear the mind and think about the future. I hope everyone understand.’
