Michael van Gerwen and Rob Cross moved into the semi-finals at the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich after surviving a huge test in their quarter-final matches. The world numbers one and two will meet later this evening in the semi-finals.
Van Gerwen saw his opponent Ted Evetts coming back to 5-5 after a 5-2 deficit. 'SuperTed' hit a superb 128 checkout to break back and level the match in the tenth leg. The Dutchman threw a 12-darter in the leg-decider to claim the win.
Cross averaged nearly ten points higher then Suljovic, but needed eleven legs to saw off the big Austrian. After 'Voltage' leveled with a 12-darter, the former world champion hit a 13-dart leg in the decider to reach the semi-finals.
