Michael van Gerwen dominates yet anther order of merit for the
PDC in 2017.
Back to back titles for van Gerwen on the euro tour over the last 2 weekends mean he now sits £33k clear of Peter Wright in second spot. The pair have won 9 of the 10 tour events this year between them and sit comfortably above the rest of the field. Michael Smith, the third ranked player being the only other victor in 2017 after he picked up the trophy in Gibraltar.
Rob Cross is the surprise inclusion in the top 8 seeds. The tour card debutant has surprised many with his form this season and has climbed to the lofty heights of 6th seed on the Euro tour, forcing Daryl Gurney out of the top 8. Cross's run to the final in Mannheim also moved him up to World number 38, giving him a great position to break the top 32 and be seeded for his first year at the World Championships.
