Veenstra and Suzuki win 2019 Dutch Open singles titles

The winners of the men’s and ladies singles titles at the Dutch Open have been confirmed with Richard Veenstra and Mikuru Suzuki winning through.

‘Flyers’ reached the final by defeating Jeffrey van Egdom and then Ryan Hogarth. Veenstra only just edged through against Hogarth with a 3-2 victory in sets. He became the first Dutch winner of the Dutch Open since Raymond van Barneveld in 2006.
Suzuki saw off Aileen de Graaf 5-2 to win the ladies singles event. The Japanse completed a double victory, as she also won the ladies pairs event alongside partner Yuriko Yamaguchi.
