Wilson came through a tight tussle with the former 2x World Champion as his brilliant year continues. There was no comeback in this one with the tie nip and tuck until the very end of proceedings.
He started proceedings off by claiming the first set 3-1 with a break in the third leg vital in him claiming that. In the following set, Wilson produced all the big checkouts but couldn’t finish it off with him missing multiple set darts. These big finishes were in the form of 125 and 150.
It was Lewis’ turn to miss doubles in the next set with the Huddersfield ace claiming the set 3-1 to regain the upper hand. Then Jackpot put the match into a final set after coming through in a deciding leg to show how close the match was.
They exchanged the first two legs in the decider but Wilson went over the hill and claimed the victory getting away in his first dart in his final leg.
