The race to the World Grand Prix has been updated after the latest double header of Players Championship action with Harry Ward putting himself into the reckoning.

Ward ended up winning the title on Sunday at Players Championship 16; he is just outside the qualification places. Vincent van der Voort is currently in the final place; having taken it from Ross Smith.
Gabriel Clemens and Mervyn King themselves aren’t completely safe; if the Swadlincote ace can put in some more good performances he could end up in Dublin.
Michael van Gerwen on the World Grand Prix last year for a fourth time after defeating Peter Wright. Both players are among the seeded players for the upcoming edition as well as the likes of Rob Cross, Gary Anderson and Daryl Gurney.
Krzysztof Ratajski and Glen Durrant are set to make their debut in Dublin this year through the Pro Tour Order of Merit. Jeffrey de Zwaan is likely to make a second appearance as he sits on the third place.
Departing Dutch legend Raymond van Barneveld is currently £6.000 behind on one of the qualifying places. The five-time world champion has five European Tour and ten Players Championship events left to secure qualification for a last World Grand Prix appearance.
