Bobby George
Bobby George is one of the biggest names in darts history. The now 78-year-old Englishman may not have become world champion, but he did win the prestigious News of the World Championship twice and went on to build a stellar career on the exhibition circuit. George was recently a guest on a video call with MDA Darts where he raked up some amusing anecdotes.
George was and still is in demand as a darter at all kinds of exhibition tournaments. He also did the analysis for British broadcaster BBC during the BDO World Cup at Lakeside Country Club for many years. Currently he also works as an analyst on the senior circuit, reporting on the major tournaments.
As such, "The King of Bling" is well placed to give his opinion on the television landscape. "We can't all get on. Eric (Bristow) used to say I don't like him. I said Eric you don't have to like them to work with them. You don't have to like them to work with them. Just get the money in."

Van Gerwen
Finally, George also raises an anecdote about Michael van Gerwen, with whom he gets along well. "Michael calls me Grandad. He said Grandad I've been thinking you earn more money per dart than me. Because he plays all night, I play one leg don't I."
