Last weekend the second tournament of the 2022 PDC
European Tour was played. The
German Darts Championship in Hildesheim was won by Michael van Gerwen, who beat Rob Cross in the final (8-5). The event was summarised in numbers by statistician Philipp Wolff.
In total 45 matches were played. These matches resulted in 402 legs and 11,907 darts thrown. Twelve times an average of over 100 was recorded, while the tournament average came to 93.53. That is a lot higher than during the International Darts Open in February, when the tournament average was 91.98.
In total, 214 171+ scores were thrown, of which 191 were the maximum 180-score. The overall finishing percentage was 37.75 percent, while 48 finishes of 100 or more were thrown.
