Kim Huybrechts has put darts on the back burner this summer. Meanwhile, the 37-year-old Belgian is looking forward to the upcoming major tournaments.
"I had a very good summer," Huybrechts opens to Het Nieuwsblad. "We did a lot of outings with the kids and besides that I stayed busy playing tournaments. So darts was on a slightly lower level than when the season is going on."
That quiet period was needed for a while for Huybrechts. "A summer break like that is something everyone can use, especially traveling less. So there was also more time for workshops and we did a youth camp for the first time in our dart store. That was a lot of fun."
Huybrechts is not qualified for the World Grand Prix and the European Championship for now. "I have to perform in the coming weeks because I want to qualify for everything, including the Grand Prix. But of course, above all, the World Championship remains the main goal."
