Adams claims brilliant whitewash win over Nicholson to claim Icons of Darts League group ahead of Evans on leg difference

Adams who claimed five victories and one defeat with the latter being the catalyst for him to go the rest of the day unbeaten saw off Ritchie Edhouse (4-1), Jose Justicia (4-1), Jarred Cole (4-2) and Fallon Sherrock (4-3).

Still though due to the prowess of David Evans today he went into the final game needing a big win and in particular a 4-0 victory over Paul Nicholson.

He produced this to deny Evans victory by a solitary leg and get 'Wolfie' back in the winners' circle after not having the best fortunes since his brilliant run in A Night At The Darts.

Paul Nicholson finished third with three victories and three defeats with the same coming next up with Ritchie Edhouse. Jarred Cole and Jose Justicia were on four apiece while Fallon Sherrock finished seventh with one win and five defeats.
