Aspinall gets help from sports psychologist: "I'm not embarrassed to admit that I think more should do it"

Nathan Aspinall won the title on his last appearance at the US Darts Masters. After missing last year's event he's back with a fresh mentality and a desire to reclaim the title ne never lost.

"It's amazing to be back. Last year there was obviously unfortunate circumstances for myself, coming back from an injury and I fell down the rankings," Aspinall tells Online Darts from a press event at Madison Square Gardens. "I've proved my worth again, I'm back and this time it's not Vegas it's New York. A pinch myself moment."

Between his last appearance at the US Darts Masters and this one, Aspinall has been getting help from a sports psychologist, giving a new attitude on life and a fresh impetus to his darting career.

"After the Brighton game against Peter my head went. Literally like almost to the point of a nervous breakdown," explains 'the Asp'. "I've been speaking to a sport psychologist who has helped me wonders I'm not embarrassed to admit that I think more should do it."

"Darts, a lot of it is up there," he says pointing to his head. "I was in a bad place. But I've sorted that put now."
