Keane Barry is through to the second round of the 2021/22 PDC
World Darts Championship where he will face off against Jonny Clayton.
Barry saw his lead evaporate against Royden Lam and was just glad to get over the line in the end.
"It's good now that it's over to be honest but I'm just happy to win to be honest. I think I made it a struggle for myself and just to get over the line, it's a great feeling," said Barry post match.
"I don't really remember much so like it just went flat in the blink of an eye but I think the more I got closer to the line, Royden just got a little bit better and I just kind of dropped off a little bit just I wasn't scoring as heavy. I wasn't playing as well as I normally do anyway in the first two sets but I just thought aftter the break. Get a 3-0, get it done. But it wasn't as easy as that to be honest."
He also discussed the rising young talents currently involved in the sport and his thoughts on the current state of the game from a youth side.
"I think there are a lot of great young players to be honest on the tour now. Like there's only going to be more and more great players so it's good to be a part of. I just hope I can push on"
