Luke Littler did not produce his best darts on Friday night at the
Baltic Sea Darts Open. In the first round of the Euro Tour tournament in Kiel, he lost 6-3 to Wessel Nijman.
The 17-year-old Englishman threw only an average of 83.98 in the tie. He also missed seven of his 10 darts on the doubles. Afterwards, Littler came up with a brief response via Instagram Stories.
''Can't expect to play my best darts on 4 hours sleep. Premier League>Euro Tour is gruelling,'' Littler wrote. "Well played Wessel. See you all Thursday."
The reigning junior youth champion is expected in Sheffield on Thursday for the 16th round of play in the Premier League Darts. Fortunately for "The Nuke," there is no
European Tour tournament on the calendar next weekend.
