Chisnall follows in footsteps of Van Gerwen, Wright and Humphries after final victory in Hungary

Dave Chisnall crowned himself the winner of the Hungarian Darts Trophy last weekend by dealing with Luke Humphries (8-7) in the final of the Euro Tour tournament in Budapest.

It was already his third Euro Tour title of the season for 'Chizzy'. Earlier this year he already won the Baltic Sea Darts Open and Dutch Darts Championship.

By winning his third European Tour title of 2023, Chisnall joins an illustrious list. Only three other players managed to win three or more Euro Tour tournaments in a single season.

Van Gerwen has already done so six times, culminating in eight Euro Tour titles in 2018. Peter Wright (five in 2017) and Humphries (four in 2022) also all won at least three Euro Tour titles in a single year.
