Chisnall honest reaction to Masters final defeat: "I didn't turn up, I was rubbish"

Dave Chisnall lost out in the final of the 2022 Masters as his quest for a first major title continues and post match, he was frustrated that the opportunity to claim one got away against Joe Cullen.

"From the start really. I didn't turn up, I was rubbish. Joe deserved all the credit he got, he deserved to win it easily. He let me in. I was just too hot up there, I think the break did me as well.

"I felt good practicing but when I got up there I felt a bit tired."

For the St Helens ace, he said all he has to do now is write the wrongs of losing in the final and go on to the ProTour next week.

"I thought I was winning it but I think Joe was the best player through this week and very deservedly to win the top tournament. All I've got to do now is go home, see the family, dust off, get back for the ProTour and get up the rankings."
