Chris Dobey impresses with 170 finish and nine-dart finish during Players Championship 7

Chris Dobey provided several highlights Monday afternoon during the seventh Players Championship tournament. 'Hollywood' threw the highest possible finish and concluded a leg in the shortest possible way.

In the second round, Dobey won 6-5 over Mike de Decker by throwing a 170 finish in the deciding leg while Decker was waiting on 32. The Belgian had missed two matchdarts in the previous turn, so he got the bill for that.

Dobey then managed to produce a nine-darter in his third round match against Mickey Mansell. He started the second leg of the match with two 180 scores, only to throw out the needed 141 finish. Dobey eventually won that match 6-1.

The Englishman was close to a second nine-darter in his subsequent match against Kim Huybrechts, but missed the double 12. However, thanks to an average of 106.71, Dobey was able to win 6-3 over Huybrechts.
