Clayton eyes Premier League spot after clinical Wade display: "It's the pinnacle of darts so I want to be in that"

Jonny Clayton crushed James Wade in a superb 10-3 win over 'The Machine' to reach the Quarter-Finals of the 2023 Masters.

This included a 99.7 average as he made light work of his fellow former champion. But as ever talk was also there of the Premier League with Clayton eyeing up one of the 'four spots available' with the top four qualifying automatically.

"There's four spots already been taken by the top four. There is four available, I want to be one of them," said Clayton post match.

"I play well there and I'm in with a shout, it's all that counts."

He also said that it is also talked about in the practice room. "We're all thinking about it, we all want to be in it. It's the pinnacle of darts so I want to be in that. Crossed fingers my name will be there."
