Commentator Dan Dawson tells anecdote of Arron Monk fitting referee George Noble's bathroom with hilarious consequences

Arron Monk was too strong for Brendan Dolan 6-5 in the opening round of the Baltic Sea Darts Open on Friday night.

But afterwards, more people talked about the striking anecdote told by commentator Dan Dawson during the match with Monk renovating George Noble's bathroom in his day job with interesting consequences.

"At one point he videocalled George who was not in the house while the work was going on and said I really think you should knock through this wall to the toilet room to create one bigger bathroom and he says I'm not sure Arron.

"He said I think you should and George has gone off and spoke to his wife about it and said alright lets do that. Arron turned the phone round and said good I've already done it."

Noble later tweeted that this was true. "100% true story," he said.
