Rob Cross has returned to form of sorts as of late and he has admitted it is partly due to being made to practice after spending so much time in the bubble environment.
Cross said that after his grandad passed away earlier this year, it wasn't his immediate focus but that now his throw keeps getting better.
"The throw's smooth. When I played Michael (Smith) in the Grand Slam, I missed too many chances. It is so much unlike in a way to the way I feel. You live you learn but the main eyes are on the World Championship," said Cross to Online Darts.
"I think the throw hasn't been smooth enough. I think after I lost my grandad I never really practised I nearly really put enough time in."
"It's only really been the last sort of three weeks where I've been made to practice because I'm playing so much and fair play to the PDC, obviously through COVID I've still got the chance to work."
