It was a blockbuster display from
Chris Dobey as the Bedlington ace lived up to his moniker of 'Hollywood' by producing a record-breaking 12 180's en route to moving into his third TV ranking semi-final at the
European Championship.
Defeating Dave Chisnall 10-7, Dobey was unplayable in spells finishing with a 104.6 average to go alongside his scoring prowess and will face Peter Wright or Ross Smith later this evening.
It was Chisnall who took the early lead to begin the tie producing a magnificent 167 checkout to trail 3-2 before moving 4-3 up with a 110 checkout.
But an 11-darter from Dobey kick started his dominance as he went 5-4 up before breaking again with an 11-darter at 7-5 with two 180's in a leg.
Chisnall broke back but a 12-darter on double 16 saw Dobey back in front at 8-6 and he finally consolidated on double eight to go one away.
A match dart came and went for Dobey but in the following leg, an 11-darter again sealed it with a 94 checkout. Sublime from 'Hollywood'.
