Deta Hedman leads PDC Women's Series Order of Merit after Day One

The first day of the PDC Women's Series was completed on Saturday with Deta Hedman putting herself in pole position for a World Championship spot at the end of proceedings.

Hedman reached a semi-final and claimed an event win on Day One to put herself on £1400 and a good run in the first event on the final day on Sunday will likely see her spot all but confirmed.

Lisa Ashton is currently also heading to the Alexandra Palace as she currently occupies second place in the Order of Merit. Fallon Sherrock though is only £50 behind with the Queen of the Palace making a Final and a semi-final losing out to 'The Lancashire Rose' in Event One.

Aileen de Graaf is fourth with £650 after reaching the final of Event Two losing to Hedman while Lorraine Winstanley rounds out the top five. Other notable players include Beau Greaves (joint 12th) and Anastasia Dobromyslova (joint 15th) who will aim for a good final day to bring

This two-day event consists of four tournaments. Players can earn prize money with their results, which count towards the Women's Series Order of Merit. The top two ladies after four events receive an invite for the PDC World Darts Championship.
