Dutch darts talent caught on cheating during online darts tournament

Dutch talent Moreno Blom has been caught on cheating during an online darts tournament on Saturday. The Dutchman had registered by Facebook for an online tournament on the score system Nakka.

Footage show that Blom throws an dart in the board after having a bounce out with the same dart earlier. Other footage showed that he also submitted incorrect scores during the match.

Blom admitted the allegations afterwards. ''My apologies to everyone for cheating against Tom in the final. I'm one of the hundreds that got caught unfortunately. People think and say what you think about it or anything about me. No problem'', he said on Facebook.

The tournament organizer decided to put Blom out of the tournament. ''We haven't had a cheat in ages and tonight we have came cross one. We have evidence and whoever played him, will now get there money back. Tom Baughan (Blom's opponent) will receive his winnings. He's never going to play in any of my competitions on this page'', they replied in a statement on Saturday evening.

Blom hit a nine-dart finish on the PDC Development Tour earlier this year. He also qualified for the PDC World Youth Championship, where he was narrowly defeated by fellow Dutchman Jeffrey de Zwaan (6-5) in the Last 16.
