Ben Robb will be one of the leading lights of the Oceanic players as the
New Zealand Darts Masters begins this morning with Gerwyn Price as an opening test.
Robb qualified as one of two final DPNZ Order of Merit qualifiers but despite doing it the hard way, he is buzzing to be back.
“I did it the hard way, but I was stoked to tell my family that I'd be back,” Robb told SENZ’s At The Oche.
“Once I won on the Saturday I knew I couldn’t be caught, and I felt emotional.
“I cannot wait to be back on the big stage in Hamilton.”
Back to 2018 and Robb saw off Simon Whitlock in Auckland on debut and described the feeling.
“I was the only Kiwi [to play on the second day]. The arena was sold out, and when I walked up I had goosebumps,” he added.
“The arena was shaking. I was the man of the night for the home crowd and it made it extra special.”
