Evans wins second PDC Challenge Tour event of the weekend with victory over Barstow

David Evans is once again a winner on the PDC Challenge Tour for the second time this weekend giving himself a big chance going into the final day in terms of being in the reckoning for a Tour Card and World Championship spot.

Evans saw off Chas Barstow in the final in a 5-0 win and before that defeated Nathan Rafferty (5-4), Rusty-Jake Rodriguez (5-1) and Deta Hedman (5-1).

To start the day, he defeated Michael Rasztovits (5-2), Jason Askew (5-2), Ben Hazel (5-2) and Dave Prins (5-2).

This now puts him top of the Order of Merit well ahead of Matthew Dennant in second on £4,400 compared to £3,200 from 'The Scholar' and £3,100 from Scott Mitchell, an interesting final day awaits.

The top two players on the final 2020 PDC Challenge Tour Orders of Merit who have not otherwise won Tour Cards for 2021 and 2022 will receive two-year Tour Cards.

The highest ranked player on the Challenge Tour Order of Merit receives an invitation to the 2020/21 World Championship.
