Traditionally, the German Darts Championship is played during the Easter weekend in Munich. Also this year, the top darters are visiting the playing venue Kulturhalle Zenith during Easter.
There, the second Euro Tour tournament of the season will be played. Luke Littler won the first Euro Tour tournament in March, but "The Nuke" is missing in Germany. Littler failed to make it through the Tour Card qualifying tournament for this event.
Top names such as Luke Humphries, Gerwyn Price, Rob Cross, Michael Smith, Gary Anderson, Nathan Aspinall and Peter Wright are also present. The tournament was won last year by Smith, who was too strong for Aspinall in the final then, 8-5.
Aspinall and Wright in particular only get in through being in the main top 16 so will start in the first round against the qualifiers. The draw will be confirmed on Thursday ahead of action starting on Friday afternoon.
