It was a darting disaster as 'The Wall' crumbled at the sight of 'Goldfinger'
Andrew Gilding who is into his second
UK Open semi-final and continues his darting renaissance with a 10-4 win over Martin Schindler.
It was a solid display from Gilding with a 93.9 average and five 180's but Schindler sat at 87 with 16 darts missed at double throughout.
Early on, Schindler was not at the races with an average of 83 and the ultra consistent Gilding eased into a 4-1 and 8-2 lead with the latter seeing 'The Wall' putting up no resistance with 20% on the doubles.
Gilding missed 120 for the match though and Schindler kept himself in the game at 9-4 down. He then missed 138 but with Schindler not able to pressure, 'Goldfinger' had three more match darts missing more.
He got more with Schindler missing a dart at 95 and Gilding hit double six for the win.
