Chris Dobey experienced his big break in the PDC this year. The 33-year-old Englishman won the
Masters and made his Premier League debut as a result.
It was the first major for Dobey. During a home game of his beloved Newcastle United, he got to show that trophy to the supporters. ""You would want it to be the world championship but any major will do - just to be on that pitch. When I go to the stadium and stuff and get noticed it's pretty surreal, I just go to enjoy the matches but speaking to fans is special," Dobey told Daily Star.
Dobey can even count a Toon icon as one of his most famous supporters. "When I won the Masters got the message from Alan Shearer as well, It was just perfect."
Dobey also got to participate in the Premier League Darts earlier this year as a direct result of his Masters title win. "I think it's brought my game on massively. Leaps and bounds and I think I can take confidence, I can take experience out of that," concluded 'Hollywood'.
