"He upset me for a few legs there" - Mervyn King unhappy with behaviour of Krzysztof Ratajski at UK Open

Mervyn King secured a place in the last 16 at the UK Open this afternoon after a thrilling 10-9 victory over Krzysztof Ratajski. However, the experienced Englishman was not entirely happy with his opponent's behaviour during the tie.

King narrowly dragged out the victory over Ratajski despite the fact he'd given away a 4-9 lead, letting the Pole come back to 9-9. The way Ratajski came back did not seem to be entirely in good spirits. "There were certain things that happened during the game I’m not exactly pleased about. The referee had a word with him and he stopped doing it. He upset me for a few legs there. Just in time for me to nick the win.”

After a down period, Mervyn King is once again making his presence felt at a major tournament. Tonight he plays Luke Humphries in the last sixteen of the UK Open.
