Barry Hearn led the tributes pouring in for Eric Bristow after his death at the age of 60.

Five-time world champion Bristow is widely revered as one of dart's all-time greats. The Crafty Cockney won five world titles during a glittering career. His name was inducted into the PDC Hall of Fame in 2005. He died suddenly in Liverpool while attending the Premier League's Judgement Night at the Echo Arena. Figures from the world of darts and beyond have spoken out in celebration of his memory. Among them was PDC chairman Hearn, who acknowledged Bristow's 'huge character'.
“Eric will always be a legend in the world of darts and British sport," said Hearn.
He was a tremendous player and a huge character and even after his retirement fans would travel for miles to meet him and see him play.
“Eric was never afraid of controversy, but he spoke as he found and was honest and straightforward which is what people admired about him. The PDC, and the sport of darts, will miss him.”
