Hempel, Pietreczko, Kurz and Hopp all into Last 16 at PDC Europe Super League

The first phase of the PDC Europe Super League is over. In the past two days, 24 German darters competed for a spot among the last sixteen with a World Darts Championship spot on the line.

On Tuesday, the final group matches were played. From each group, the four highest ranked players advance to the last sixteen.

In Group A, Florian Hempel maintained his unbeaten status. With ten victories in ten matches, he came in a comfortable first place. Franz Röztsch (6 points), David Schlichting (5 points) and Marcel Gerdon (4 points) also advanced from this group.

In Group B, there was first place for Ricardo Pietreczko, who lost only one game. The top four in this group was completed by Dragutin Horvat (9 points), Kai Gotthardt (5 points) and Marco Obst (5 points).

Daniel Klose did not lose a match in Group C and came first with 10 points. Nico Kurz (6 points), Max Hopp (5 points) and Michael Hurtz (4 points) also continue in the tournament from this group.

One player also remained unbeaten in Group D. Niko Springer also won all his five games on Tuesday, keeping Lukas Wenig off first place. Manfred Bilderl (5 points) and Lukas Wenig (4 points) also secured a place in the last sixteen.

The tournament continues on Wednesday and Thursday with the second part of the group stage. The remaining 16 players will be divided into the two groups of eight players. The four best players from each group will then advance to the knockout phase, which will be completed in its entirety on Friday.
