John Henderson lost out to Nathan Aspinall as he received another crack at the Premier League as a 'Challenger' on night one in front of his home crowd in Aberdeen.
For Henderson while he loved the experience once again, he was disappointed that he couldn't give the crowd a performance befitting of his reception.
He believes that not playing since the World Championship hampered him; despite being disappointed, he is looking ahead to the ProTours at the weekend and getting back to his best.
"I'm disappointed not just for myself but for that crowd out there, that was awful. I've had no match practice since the World's, I couldn't hit the trebles at all but fair play to Nathan (Aspinall) he did and he was a deserved winner," said Henderson to LiveDarts.
"It was a great walk-on. Aberdeen did themselves proud today. I am just disappointed I didn't give them a performance."
"I think it was match practice, I hadn't hit anything since the World's and I looked rusty up there. I need to get myself ready for Saturday because ProTours are a big thing for me; because I'm defending a lot of money on the floor."
