Striking statistic: No one threw more 171+scores than Ross Smith last year

Darts Oracle, a platform that deals with all kinds of data and statistics, has revealed a striking statistic about Smith. In the past 12 months, no one on the Pro Tour has thrown more 171+scores per leg played than the 34-year-old Englishman. For example, Smith throws 171+ scores on 0.4 legs, say in four out of ten legs. A fraction more than Dave Chisnall and Dirk van Duijvenbode.

Looking at absolute numbers, Van Duijvenbode takes the crown with 687 171+ scores in the past 12 months, compared to 527 for Smith. However, the latter played a lot fewer matches than Van Duijvenbode.
