Damon Heta received a wonderful piece of recognition from the Australian Darts Federation during the World Series trip 'Down Under'. 'The Heat' shared a photo of this on his social media.
The photo shows Heta being added to the Hall of Fame of Darts Australia, the organization for darters in Australia. Heta received this decoration in gratitude for his "outstanding contribution to the sport of darts," it reads.
Heta managed to win the Brisbane Darts Masters in 2019 after victories over James Wade, Gary Anderson, Simon Whitlock and Rob Cross. He then entered the 2020 Q-School, where "The Heat" managed to capture a Tour Card.
Heta also managed to achieve success on the PDC circuit in Europe. He captured the title at the 2022 World Cup of Darts with compatriot Whitlock. He has also won six ranking titles. Last weekend Heta was also in the final of the New South Wales Darts Masters, but then Cross proved too strong 8-1 in the final match.
