Gerwyn Price impressed in his second group match at the Grand Slam of Darts. 'The Iceman' defeated Ryan Searle 5-0 and averaged 110.51.
Price has already secured progression to the second round with one group match to go (against Gian van Veen). "I felt good up there and I knew I was playing pretty well and putting Ryan under a lot of pressure," said the 38-year-old Welshman to Online Darts post-match. "I was in the zone. It's a little bit of a statement."

"You know, I've lost games in the groups before I don't know if that's a good omen or a bad one so I don't know if I want to lose on Monday," he jokes. "But yes, I'm out to win. I'm all guns blazing."
Price won the tournament two years ago. "Obviously, I know I'm defending some big ranking points in this tournament. So I want to go and win it, defend the ranking points and hopefully have a have a good run in Butlins as well," concludes Price. "Hopefully this is the forever home for this tournament because I seem to play well here. Hopefully they bring the World Championship here too!"
