Luke Humphries eased past his opener at the Nordic Darts Masters seeing off Marko Kantele 6-1 and will now face Michael Smith this afternoon in the Quarter-Finals in Copenhagen.

"I played ok there, scoring was decent. I think there was a couple of legs in the middle where I went missing a bit. But I think my scoring was decent enough and my finishing a lot better so I'm glad with how I played," he said to Online Darts.

He also reflected on Bahrain and being given the opportunity to represent the PDC on the World Series and how much he is relishing the opportunity provided to him.

"Last week was fantastic, I really enjoyed myself. I obviously didn't get the result I wanted but you've got to take in all the experience that I'm gaining. It was amazing, me and my Dad went there and it was a place I probably would've never have gone to if it wasn't for darts so I appreciate the invite."

"It starts the year off fantastically and usually you get a month off after the World's so when I get the call, I was over the moon because then you start to realize that you are getting recognised and the PDC want you to be involved in these big events and showcase your talent. I feel very lucky and privileged to be here as there is another 50-odd people that would love to be here in my shoes."
