Adam Hunt recently secured a PDC Tour Card for the next two years at Q-School. It was anything but smooth sailing for the Englishman however.
"It's still sinking in to be honest, it was a crazy last day," Hunt reflects in conversation with Tungsten Tales. "I played well in the stage one. Got through automatically, played really well and then Thursday, Friday I was terrible to be honest. I just couldn't settle. Sunday obviously was just a completely different performance."
A former Tour Card, Hunt returns to the Pro Tour after a one-year absence. "Last year at Q-School, I missed out by one game so I was gutted but I think it was quite good actually, having the year off and just trying different things," Hunt explains. "I always believed I should be on the Pro Tour and you know, I'm just glad to be back."
The 30-year-old Englishman is therefore well placed to assess the level due to his several participations at Q-School in recent years. "The level at Q-School has risen tremendously in recent years. I even think some of the top players would have a hard time winning a Tour Card there. So the hardest work is done, now I can play more relaxed and give my all on the Pro Tour."
