Milton Keynes is hosting the UK Q-School this week. Here, players from the United Kingdom and outside Europe can hunt for a PDC Tour Card.
On the first day, Darren "Ice Cold" Beveridge provided spectacle. The Scot took on Greg Ritchie in the last 128 and fell behind 4-3. However, with two consecutive 170-finishes he still managed to turn the lopsided situation around to a 5-4 victory.
Beveridge was eventually eliminated at the last 32 by Kevin Thomas, but his performance against Ritchie earned him high praise online. One X-user wrote: "Darren Beveridge came from a 4-3 deficit to win 5-4 with two 170-finishes in a row. That's incredible." A second added: "Are we just going to ignore the fact that Darren Beveridge threw two 170-finishes in a row while trailing 3-4?"
A day later, Beveridge had less success and immediately went down 5-3 in his opening match against compatriot William Borland. Beveridge is 55th in the UK Q-School standings after two days of play and seems well on his way to qualify for the final stage.
In that final stage, which lasts four days, players can eventually capture a PDC Tour Card.
