Japan first through to World Cup of Darts Semi-Finals after singles victories over New Zealand

Japan are first through to the semi-finals at the World Cup Of Darts after seeing off New Zealand in a clean sweep.

It is the first time an Asian country is through to this stage and it shows how good the standard is getting.
Seigo Asada began proceedings against Cody Harris with the two best players facing off but ‘The Ninja’ eased through in a 4-1 win.
He may have came out with a 91 average but for the most part it was early 100+ that was doing the trick.
He breezed into a 3-0 lead and despite a late break back from Harris, Asada claimed the first point.
In the other tie it was more close between Haupai Puha and Haruki Muramatsu. The opening two legs both went against the throw meaning it was 1-1.
Despite holding his throw, it was the experienced Japanese ace who was feeling the pressure as he missed three at double 20 for a 3-1 lead.
Muramatsu though finally went one away, only for a decider to occur. Puha was waiting on a finish in the decider but Muramatsu hit double 20 to claim the second point in a nervy affair.
