Kai Gotthardt and Patrick Tringler win tournaments on PDC Next Gen circuit

Kai Gotthardt and Patrick Tringler were the big winners at the third and fourth tournaments of the PDC Next Gen Circuit last weekend. 

Gotthardt defeated David Schlichting 6-3 in the final of the third event, which was played with double in - double out. Gotthardt had already reached the final of the Next Gen 2, but was then defeated 2-6 by Sascha Stuhlemmer. The player from Esslingen also faced Stuhlemmer on Saturday, but this time defeated him 5-1 in the quarter-finals.

Gotthardt defeated Kevin Knopf 5-4 in the semifinals. In the last four, Schlichting defeated Marcel Gerdon, no unknown name in German darts. The victory in the deciding round went to The Turtle.

The fourth tournament of the PDC Europe Next Gen, played in the same format as the previous day, was won by Austrian Patrick Tringler. Like Schlichting and Gotthardt, Tringler does not hold a PDC Tour Card, making him eligible to play on the Next Gen circuit. 

On his way to the final, Tringler defeated Marcel Hausotter (5-4), Yasa Guener (5-4), Jannis Barkhausen (4-3) and Jannes Bremermann (4-1), among others. Springer had previously defeated Marcel Gerdon (5-0), Patrick Klingelhöfer (4-3) and Michael Hurtz (4-2). In addition, Springer eliminated Sascha Stuhlemmer 5-3 in the quarterfinals and even recorded a nine darter in that match.
