Latvia ease past Hungary, Poland seal nervy win over USA

Poland and Latvia made it to the last sixteen at the World Cup of Darts in Frankfurt, Germany on Friday night.

The Latvians played a remarkably strong game against the Hungarian duo Gergely Lakatos and Nandor Pres. Madars Razma and his teammate Nauris Gleglu recorded an average of almost 92 and a finish percentage of 62.5 percent. That led to a 5-1 victory over Hungary.

The higher ranked Poland had a hard time dealing with Danny Baggish and Jules van Dongen from the United States. Only in the deciding leg did Krzysztof Ratajski and Sebastian Bialecki take the win. That was only after America had missed tops for a 160 finish. After that Poland threw a 13-darter for a spot in the second round.
