Lewis on importance of World Championship: "Nothing else matters really, that's the ultimate"

Adrian Lewis will head into this year's PDC World Darts Championship aiming to recapture previous form which saw him to back-to-back glory at the Alexandra Palace.

Lewis spoke of the importance of the World Championship admitting nothing else matters especially at the start of a dart players career.

"Once you first start playing, your aim and your dream is to win a World title. Nothing else matters really, it doesn't matter if you win the Matchplay or anything, The main one is the World Championship and that's it," said Lewis to the Darts Show podcast.

"When Phil Taylor gets introduced on TV or when he did, it was 16-times World Champion, it didn't mention anything else did it really? That's the ultimate."
