Lowe on downturn due to juggling work and darts: "It doesn't help when you have a long day at work"

Jason Lowe is through to a second round with a victory over Daniel Larsson in a game which didn't look easy on the eye but saw the Cradley Heath ace move through at the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship.

Lowe will now face Jose de Sousa next up and he is hoping to settle into the tournament now.

"It's different obviously last year, no crowd. I was a little unsettled in the match because obviously the crowd but yeah it was a great experience," said Lowe post match.

"I am sure I'll settle in now and produce the game I know I can produce and play better."'

He has had a downturn in form so far this year and has admitted Covid may have played a factor.

"The first six months when I got the card, I was doing great then came lockdown. I do believe I've got to put more time in on the practice board and that's what I haven't been doing. That's what I will do because if I have a year like I have this year, I could potentially lose my card next year."

"It doesn't help when you have a long day at work and then you don't practice. Then there's the other side where I haven't got to earn any money at darts to pay the bills."
