As the second round now takes full precedence, more big names join the darting party at the 2021/22 PDC World Darts Championship with Dimitri van den Bergh and Michael Smith set to take centre stage.
Van den Bergh off the back of catching Covid-19 and missing the Grand Slam needs a big World Darts Championship and could easily fall against the quality German, Florian Hempel who showed how good he is against Martin Schindler.
Some see 'The Dreammaker' making it through fairly easily but Hempel could spring another shock on a seed.
One seed who could be in trouble is Devon Petersen who has been in poor form after his re-emergence just before the pandemic and with Raymond Smith impressing in his opener against Jamie Hughes, he will head in as a potential favourite.
While Smith is set to take to the stage after some good recent form for a high octane clash with Ron Meulenkamp which follows along from another of the most watchable players in the sport in Vincent van der Voort facing Adam Hunt.
