Luke Humphries retains good form as he beats Michael van Gerwen at darts exhibition in Leeds

Michael van Gerwen had to acknowledge his superiority to Luke Humphries once again on Wednesday evening in an exhibition match in Leeds. Mighty Mike' was beaten 8-3 by the Englishman, who also beat him in the final of the Players Championship Finals at the end of November.

In eleven legs no less than twelve 180 scores were thrown; seven by Humphries and five by Van Gerwen. 'Cool Hand Luke' also recorded an average of 100.18, compared to a 95.86 per turn for the Dutchman.

Dirk van Duijvenbode was also in Leeds. He got to play against Daryl Gurney, an encounter that was won 4-3 by the Northern Irishman. Robert Thornton managed to beat Fallon Sherrock 4-1 in another exhibition match.
