The fate of Group C is confirmed with
Luke Humphries thrashing a struggling Dirk van Duijvenbode at the
Grand Slam of Darts and in turn, he has sent
Gary Anderson also through with him in Wolverhampton from the same group.
Anderson did his part to begin the duo of matches as he thrashed Steve Lennon 5-1 with a 102.7 average and four 180's which bolstered his chances of moving through. 'The Flying Scotsman' had seen off Dirk van Duijvenbode, but was thrashed by Humphries which sent it into the balance.

Throughout the tournament, only really Gerwyn Price has been better as Humphries continues his form on from the World Grand Prix triumph.
He stormed into a 4-0 lead without much difficulty with an 81 checkout with Van Duijvenbode's up hill task getting harder needing to win from there and that he did not as 'Cool Hand Luke' sewed it up with a 97 checkout to seal the win.
He hit a 101 average, three 180's and this offset poor doubling at times with 33% on the outer ring. Van Duijvenbode hit only 77 average-wise as he faces potential surgery and playing through the pain going forward.
