A special moment for a number of PDC players this weekend. At the
Belgian Darts Open in Wieze, no less than seven players will make their debut on the PDC
European Tour.
The most famous debutant is
Luke Littler. The 17-year-old teenage sensation managed to strike straight away at the first qualifying tournament for the Euro Tour. It is a great opportunity for 'The Nuke' to gain important ranking points for the qualification races for tournaments such as the World Matchplay, World Grand Prix and the European Championship.
James Hurrell and
Chris Landman, like Littler, managed to get through the Tour Card qualifying tournament and are also making their Euro Tour debut. Hurrell has made a solid start to the season, making a quarter-final in Players Championship 1 where he defeated Michael Smith en route.
The other debutants are Born van Put, Steven Strobbe and Jeroen Caron, who all came through the Host Nation Qualifier on Thursday. Croatian Romeo Grbavac completes the list of debutants.
